ABOUT
Apostle, author, cancer thriver, retired fire captain, and community leader — Matthew L. Tillery has dedicated his life to empowering others through faith, fitness, and purpose.
Matthew L. Tillery is a Prostate Cancer Survivor and THRIVER who possesses a passion to educate other men concerning being proactive about their prostate health. Matthew aims to empower them to research and educate themselves about their prostate health, so they can become self-advocates concerning treatment options. This passion opened a door for an invitation to serve as an Ambassador for Emanuel Health Education.
In addition, Matthew obtained his Masters of Theology Degree from Midwest College of Theology and has been in ministry for over twenty-three years, serving in Apostolic Ministry for twenty-one of those years — training, equipping, and empowering leaders to serve in ministry by discipling others. He has authored three thought-provoking books: "When Heaven Touches Earth", "Kingdom Alignment", and his latest book, "Three Hundred Days: I Survived The Storm".
Matthew hosts a popular weekly podcast: "Advancing The Kingdom". After 27 years, he retired from the City of Rocky Mount where he served as a Fire Captain in the Fire Department, prior to his ministry calling, and later as a Senior Zoning Officer in Development Services.
Matthew is a husband and has been married to Dawn for twenty-four years. He is a father to three daughters — Nykea, Costella, and Antoinette — and a grandfather of four. Matthew enjoys cycling and he has a favorite quote used to encourage himself and his fellow cyclists: "Keep Pedaling!"
